Pressure Treated Roof Trusses/Floor Trusses, Parallam Beams and TJI Joists for the Bahamas

pressure treated lumber for framing and roof/floor trusses

For our builders in the Bahamas, Custom Truss offers pressure treated wooden roof trusses, floor trusses and lumber.

Pressure treated roof trusses and floor trusses offer excellent protection against decay, fungus and termites. In combination with pressure treated lumber special plates must be used that are highly corrosive resistant. Custom Truss uses specialized plates from Alpine for all pressure treated truss projects in the Bahamas.

Frame out your Bahamas construction project with Parallam beams and columns.

Add structural strength and reliability to your Bahamas structure by using Parallam beams and and columns instead of steel. The superior strength of Parallam makes longer clear spans possible, giving you allowing more open, spacious design options.

Parallam beams can be stained or finished for a handsome look in exposed applications such as porches or beamed ceilings.

Eliminate squeaky floors in your Bahamas building project by using TJI joists.

Discover the many benefits of using TJI joists instead of traditional dimensional lumber joists including: almost no twisting or warping, very little dimensional shrinkage, stiffness and strength. Additionally, TJI’s can be drilled for pipes and wires or cut out for HVAC or other needs.

TJI’s can be handled without a crane. They are a little harder to nail into due to the hardness of the material. This is not an issue with nail guns. Also, engineered joists are also a little less stable and can’t be walked on until after the sub-floor is installed.

TJI’s are available in many different sizes ranging from 9-1/2″ to 16″ deep and flanges 1-3/4″ to 3-1/2″ wide. The wide range of sizes allow for framing virtually any structure in the Bahamas from residential houses to commercial buildings.
